I never thought I would come face-to-face with the sexist attitudes some men still have about powerful women in business! I thought it was something that "others" may have experienced and that it did not matter if only a small few thought less of women because we are intelligent AND good looking
...but I was wrong.
I was a part of a LinkedIn.com group for a short period of time called "The Universe of Thinkers" which I thought was a group discussing and supporting strategies around harnessing the law of attraction, so I joined it to see if I could contribute my own insights and learn more from others ideas.
What I did not realize is the group was a law of attraction skeptics group, and I only realized it after offering some insights to those who believe the law of attraction...and the related Law of Vibrational TheoryTM, is akin to witchcraft or silly magic.
The more I read through the posts, the more I realized that these people, like so many who have had difficulty in understanding and applying the full law, believe that if you just ask the universe for whatever you want, it will magically and instantly appear. They did not understand that the third step of allowing or aligning is the ACTION part of the law. This is where I have developed the Law of Vibrational TheoryTM to assist you in harnessing the action part.
It was a very misinformed group. I shared with them that the law of attraction does not judge whether something is right or wrong, it will just manifest for you that which you think about and feel about.
My posts were met with the outcry of world injustices and how could the law of attraction apply to those victims of genocide, war, rape, and threat of nuclear attack? If the law cannot apply to everyone then it cannot be considered a universal law?
Those in power know how to harness the law of attraction, unfortunately for control and power over others. The DVD "The Secret" discusses this in the very beginning. When those who are unaware of this law, they cannot harness it and are victim to and reactive to this law.
Nobody ever said the law of attraction was always used for the greater good. This is why it is so important for all of us to educate and spread the word about how to harness not only the law of attraction, but to master the Law of Vibrational TheoryTM.
Now, to get to the sexism part...
One gentleman by the name of Frank could not come back and counter my posts with anything intelligent so all he had to say was, "did it ever occur to you that the only reason people take you seriously is because you are a very attractive woman?"
Now, I see this as an interesting and fascinating remark, don't you?
If I was not so independent of the good opinion of others, this remark may have angered me. I responded with a kind remark, a clarification and asked him "this is all you could come up with?" His reply was, "not just you, but women who are good looking and have a 'tude."
Why is it that women who act confidently, are comfortable in their expertise and successful are treated like this by some men? When a man acts with confidence, is comfortable in his expertise and successful, they are respected and considered leaders by other men.
I really do want to believe that this is a small portion of the population because this is really the first time I have personally experienced this behavior.
As women, we deserve to teach others how to treat us. I do not want to attract the type of negativity that group was involved in. It was rampant with pain bodies that I was no longer willing to interact with.
If you are not familiar with the term "pain body," you get to buy "A New Earth" by Eckhart Tolle to learn about it. It is available at Amazon.
You also deserve to teach others how to treat you and this comes from treating yourself well, with respect and with love.
